The Moxiecraft world expansion has begun! Celebrate this exciting new frontier by showcasing your creativity and teamwork in the Frontier Town Contest!

We want to see your best towns! The server is now 200,000 x 200,000 blocks, and we need Frontier Towns to pave the way to our manifest destiny! Gather your friends, travel into the wilds, and establish strongholds of civilization!

To initially qualify, towns must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Members: The town must have at least three active members.
• Location: Any NEW location in the overworld. Existing towns will not count.
• Wiki Page: A town wiki page must be created and maintained, showcasing your town's unique identity, features, and progress.

Once a town establishes a quality Town Hall or Town Square and meets all the above requirements, it will receive a temporary warp and be officially entered into the contest. The town will also be listed on the Contest Wiki Page for others to admire and follow your progress.

• Start Date: December 2nd, 2024 (Now!)
• End Date: February 28th, 2025
• Judging Period: March 1st - 7th, 2025

Judging will be performed by: Moxieskip, Siotter, TBA, TBA, TBA (more judges will be recruited closer to the contest's conclusion).

Check this page for updates on the criteria by which the judges will evaluate towns. The judging criteria are as follows:

1. Themeology: Did the town choose and stick to a theme? (Note: There is no required theme; creativity is encouraged.)*
2. Beauty of Location: How well was the town's location chosen? Does it take advantage of scenic or unique terrain features?
3. Beauty of Architecture: Are the buildings visually appealing and cohesive? Do the designs show creativity and effort?
4. Incorporation of Local Resources: How well did the town utilize nearby natural resources in its design? Is there a thoughtful connection to the environment?
5. Public Amenities: Does the town offer communal areas, such as marketplaces, parks, or gathering spots? Are these areas functional and inviting?
6. Completeness: Is the town fully developed, or does it feel unfinished? Are essential components like housing, roads, and utilities in place?
7. Creativity and Originality: Does the town stand out with unique ideas or features? Is there evidence of imaginative design?
8. Functionality: Is the town practical for residents to live and navigate? Does the layout make sense and enhance gameplay?
9. Community Engagement: Was the town built collaboratively with input from all team members? Does it foster a sense of community?
10. Sustainability: Are renewable or sustainable resources incorporated into the design? Is the town designed to last over time?
11. Integration with the Environment: Does the town blend seamlessly with or enhance its natural surroundings? Is there minimal disruption to the local ecosystem?
12. Special Features: Are there unique additions, such as redstone builds, automated farms, or decorative details, that add extra value or intrigue?

• Individual trophies for each town member who contributed to the build!
• A treasure chest of Rare value!

• Keep the Warp for 1 year (or until the town meets the warp rules).
• A Gold Trophy for your town to proudly display!
• Individual trophies for each town member who contributed to the build!
• A treasure chest of Uncommon value!

• Keep the Warp for 6 months (or until the town meets the warp rules).
• An Iron Trophy for your town to proudly display!
• Individual trophies for each town member who contributed to the build!
• A treasure chest of Common value!

1. An Admin must add your town to the contest page on the wiki to be considered entered.
2. Builders who contribute to multiple towns will only receive the highest prize won.
3. It is recommended that a town document how to divide the treasure chest before entering the contest.
4. Towns that do not meet warp requirements will lose the temporary warp after March 30th, 2025.
5. Towns that meet warp requirements will keep permanent warps, even if they do not win.
6. 1-year warps end on February 28th, 2026.
7. 6-month warps end on August 31st, 2025.
