History
Border Lake is a town that sat at the world-border in December 2024. It was created as a limited time event town before the frontier contest which saw the world-border get increased by 95km in all directions. Faraday1056 built the servers formerly largest tower at the town before the contest. A rail link would also be made between Snug Cove and Border Lake at this time, marking the start of the Meridian lines construction as plans to extend this overland line to spawn were drafted.
The town was the host spot for the new Worldborder Race during the Frontier event. At the start of the race, an administrator accidentally did /teleport @e instead of /teleport @a and then tried to run the kill command to kill all non player characters and mobs that had been summoned: the command failed and everybody on the server died. Sweetcorm would end up winning the race and the town closed to the public, the only players who are able to build there are the ones who joined during the week long period before the event started.
The Meridian Line would be connected to spawn a couple months later and then further expanded to Otters Pass. Currently Border Lake acts as a rest stop and popular tourist destination for players who travel the Northern Highway.
Access
Border Lake can be accessed via /warp Oldwarps, or via the Meridian Line after Snug Cove. You can also walk to the town via the Northern Highway.
