Otter's ban incident

"you do realize i could ban you and not a single soul would bat an eye" -ReaperSniper, shortly before banning SiOtter

On July 17, 2026, ReaperSniper would mention consulting an AI for gender issues, shortly before mentioning she was neglected during the early years of her life. SiOtter questioned that interpretation by comparing it to more overt forms of neglect from his own upbringing and suggested that AI may have influenced Eleanor into viewing her past as neglect to justify her current struggles. Eleanor felt this invalidated her experiences and accused him of trying to "out-trauma" her and later of gaslighting her. SiOtter denied both accusations, maintaining that he was only expressing his honest opinion and that his own childhood experiences were not traumatic to him. Other members began intervening, with Wretched Brat criticizing SiOtter's suggestion that AI had convinced Eleanor she was neglected and urging both participants to de-escalate. The conflict intensified when Eleanor stated that she could ban SiOtter over the exchange, while SiOtter argued that using moderation powers in response to a disagreement was inappropriate and could itself warrant demotion. Eleanor responded that his comments had "struck a nerve" because they deeply invalidated her experiences. Despite others attempting to calm the situation, the argument continued until Eleanor exercised her moderation authority and banned SiOtter from the server.

Ultimately, the ban was upheld, and its unlikely SiOtter will be unbanned.
